RE: Different internet domains on one Lotus domain ~Hank Cisgeroteretsi 10.Mar.07 10:43 PM a Web browser Domino Server 6.5.1Windows 2003
Hello
Sorry, on my example I put zz.com and the example is only with @xx.com and @yy.com. The problem is the next one:
@xx.com is an internet domain from the overall company, and we don't have all the internet addresses of the company, only some of them. If someone sends a mail to user@xx.com and he is not in our directory, the mail is sent to other smtp server who will take care of it. (we have a smart host configuration)
However @yy.com is a small domain and we have all the email addresses of this domain. The problem is that sometimes people send mails to user1@xx.com, an external email address, but they arrive to user1@yy.com, because this email address exists on our local system.
It is not easy to explain, I know. But what I really want is to have both internet domains on the same Lotus domain, but with no relationship between them. If two users have the same name but different domains, I want to keep them separated ... If someone sends mail to user1@xx.com, I want that the mail will be sent to the external smtp server even if we have address user1@yy.com
